SYNOPSIS:

“This is the story of the McLaughlin family who live in a predominately Irish Catholic section of Chicago. As they prepare for their annual St.Patrick’s Day party, life changing events are taking place within their family. Their son Patrick has to decide about entering the priesthood. Their daughter Katrina shields a secret and Uncle Mick conspires with the neighbor girl Colleen who is secretly in love with Patrick.

Secrets are heard and gossip ensues. Add a live in Grandma with her old world beliefs and a mother who is neither Irish nor Catholic and a comedy unfolds. ”

Synopsis

Synopsis:

It’s the height of the Celtic Tiger in Ireland, and the country’s economy is booming as it never has in its history. In the heart of Dublin, the repercussions are hitting close to home at the historic pub owned by Michael Ryan. A local developer is salivating at the chance to turn the area where the pub sits into a “Muesli Belt”, a mix of trendy bistros, health food stores, and new apartments to accommodate an influx of well-heeled yuppies moving into the area.

The pub is a community meeting place for locals who Mick counts among his closest friends. The choices he makes will affect their lives and his own. As the Tiger transforms the landscape of the country, how will it change the community and the people?

The Two Loves of Gabriel Foley – Fall 2013

Gabriel Foley is a middle-aged bachelor farmer, who lives with his elderly mother. He has been unlucky in love many times, much to his mother’s frustration. She thinks she’ll never get rid of him. Then he meets upmarket, Hazel Myers and joins the posh drama group in the nearby town in order to romance her.

He is unaware that Chrissie McCabe – a cheerful countrywoman, who comes in to help him and his mother – fancies him. By the time Chrissie makes her feelings known to Gabriel, he has already got Hazel’s attention. He and Chrissie decide to try going out together. He tries to let Hazel down gently, but Hazel is not a woman to give up easily.
