“The Butterfly of Killybegs” by Brian Foster directed by Tom Kearney
Auditions will be held on Tuesday 1/28/2014 and Wednesday 1/29/2014
from 7:30pm – 9:30pm at:
Gaelic Park 6119 147th St. Oak Forest, IL 60452
The audition will consist of a cold reading from the script.
The are parts for 3 women and 3 men.
Show dates:
Friday 4/11, 4/25, 5/2
Saturday 4/12, 4/26, 5/3
Sunday 4/13, 4/27, 5/4
*note two week break between first and second weekend for Easter weekend
There is one additional performance in competition at the Acting Irish International Theater Festival to be held at the Arts Garage in Del Ray Beach, Florida.Thursday May 22nd at 2 pm EST.
(hotel rooms are covered and there will be a stipend to offset some cost of flight)
Characters:
Mary – Early 40’s Shy world weary caretaker of her mother
Middie – 20’s wild child party girl of the Sixties
Emily – 60s or older. Domineering manipulative mother
Mr. Doyle – 60’s or older Uptight, judgmental, and lascivious associate of Emily
Patsy – 40’s to early 50’s Mary’s suitor rural, likeable, ungraceful
Mickey Joe – 50’s and up. Mysterious man in black.
